Last night, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won the AMA for Best Hip Hop Album. During his acceptance speech, he stayed true to what he's always done in the limelight... took a moment to talk about social issues that nobody else in the industry is willing to take on.

This time around, Macklemore decided to take on Racial Profiling, mentioning the Trayvon Martin case.

While he was applauded by the audience, and I am sure many that watched at their house. A lot of people have also taken to his Facebook, calling the rapper "misinformed" as well as many stronger statements against what he said.

What do you think? Was Macklemore right to use his time to bring light to such an issue or should he have just graciously accepted his award and moved on?
