I think of all THE most annoying questions there are, THIS one tops them all "Hey Bromo, HOT enough for you?". I'm guessing you have had the same situation. Bismarck/Mandan has been hit early this year with some near-record heat. Immediately I think of cooling off, instant relief - and what better way to do that than to get in a kayak and drift down the river! There is a new place in town that will help you get on your way!

According to KFYR-TV

A new kayak, paddleboard and pontoon rental shack has opened up in Mandan.

Dockside LLC has 2 pontoons, 6 kayaks and 10 paddleboards for rent and they also sell convenience store items.

How much fun does that sound? Of course, if you are brand new to the sport, it is highly recommended that you just don't jump into the river and hope that kayaking is easy enough to master it right away. Be sure to seek out some guidance and have a veteran show you how to be safe and give you some much-needed tips on how to handle your kayak. Also as a rule of thumb, like anything you are doing when dealing with the elements, like the river, for instance, have a partner - be smart and have fun!

Their shack is located next to The Drink At Lakewood in Mandan and you can find more information on their Facebook page, Dockside LLC. KFYR adds. This is a perfect way to try something new, to stay cool and look even cooler doing it!
