Does the "Dark Web" strike fear into your heart?  It does sound like a nasty place. Me, I'm more frightened of Twitter.  Not because it seems to be filled with self-loathing psychopaths who seem to have nothing better to do with their time other than to tear into the tweets of others. Nope, I'm fearful of Twitter because it could get me fired and run out of town on a turnip truck.

It seems there's very little forgiveness for flying off the handle in the Twitter-verse. But this isn't just about Twitter- it's about FACE MASKS on Twitter!

I'm not implying North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum has issued a mask mandate, because he hasn't.  What the Governor and his staff have done, is create a campaign of sorts on twitter to try to ease the population into warming up to wearing masks.  If you've seen any of his recent press conferences, it's a issue the Governor is pretty passionate about.

The AP News quotes the Governor-

“Wearing a mask and doing it properly is a way to show we care for others in our community. My mask protects you and your mask protects me. There’s only one thing to say when you see someone wearing a mask and that’s ‘thank you.’”

On the Department of Health's website there's valuable information about why to wear a mask, how to wear a mask, and how to make your own mask.

So five months into the pandemic onset there's a "nudge" from the NDDoH to use the #MaskUpND on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to show who you wear your mask for.

Now let's see is we can play nice on our social media...sorry Governor, but I have my doubts.
