Chris Klieman will remain at North Dakota State for many years to come, after the school announced they had signed the coach to a new six-year contract on Friday (4/22).

The new six-year deal keeps Klieman, who has lead the Bison to their fourth and fifth straight FCS championships, in Fargo through 2021, according to GoBison.com.

Klieman took over the NDSU football program in December of 2013, following the departure of Craig Bohl, who had led the team to three-straight FCS championships.

Since taking over as head coach, Klieman has lead the Bison to a 28-3 record (14-2 in MVFC), according to Wikipedia, leading his team to an FCS championship both years.

Klieman has been with North Dakota State since 2011, when he was hired on as a defensive backs coach. His only other previous head coaching experience came in 2005 at Loras College in Dubuque, IA.
