On Wednesday morning in New York, family and friends of the victims of 9/11, along with law-enforcement and political leaders, gathered at the World Trade Center site to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
Today, Sept. 11, 2013, marks 12 years since the day the world changed when coordinated terror attacks took down the World Trade Center towers in NYC, while a third plane crashed into the Pentagon. Another plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania in a thwarted mission, as passengers attempted to take over the flight.
Today is a day many of us will never forget. 12 years ago, terroristic and evil acts completely changed the course of our country and the world and took the lives of nearly 3,000 innocent people.
Wednesday marks the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Memorial services will be held all across the country, many involving a reading of the victims' names.
