In several areas of North Dakota, high temperatures in the forecast are expected to break records for March 3rd.

While it felt like a nice warm-up today in the Bismarck-Mandan region, forecasts for this weekend has more subzero temperatures and dangerous winds in store for us.

Wednesday's forecast is calling for possible ground blizzard conditions that will start early afternoon and continue on into Thursday morning. Forecasted wind chills for Thursday will be brutally cold.

According to the National Weather Service in Bismarck, a new record low temperature has been set for the city and several other North Dakota locations for this date.

We all know how brutally cold it can get in North Dakota so we're used to it. But earlier this week, every state in the U.S. had somewhere reach below freezing. This isn't normal.

You may have noticed the scorching hot temperatures in Bismarck on Tuesday, especially due to the fact that it's September in North Dakota.

Thursday and Friday of this week, the National Weather Service in Bismarck is forecasting wind chills dropping to 50 degrees below zero. They are considered to be "dangerous to life-threatening."

Now that we've reached November, it's time to prepare for colder temperatures.
