This discussion comes up every now and then, so let’s put it back on the table and fan the fire for a moment.

Holidays take on a meaning once you have kids. Christmas seems to be the one most dads notice goes to the wayside for your kids -- and we're more than happy to let it. But, for me, that wasn't the only one I had to give up on once I had kids. They ALL went away for me.

14 years ago, life changed for millions of people across the United States and the World. While the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon are why most people remember 9/11, that's not why I do. It's a stark reminder to me that tomorrow doesn't exist until it's today. And that may be too late.

Just seems like yesterday we were bringing our son home from the hospital and now he's done with his first year in school... where has the time all gone?
