The National Weather Service in Bismarck is again, using the term DANGEROUS to explain how cold the temperatures for this region will be tonight and into Monday.

The Wind Chill Advisory will effect Bismarck, Mandan, Jamestown, St. Anthony, Minot, New Salem, Williston and Garrison. The counties in the advisory are north of a line from I94.

The low pressure moving through the area accompanied with north-west winds at 5-10 MPH will produce wind chill values as low at 35 below zero.

The advisory is effective from 11 PM Sunday  through 10 AM Monday (CST).

A wind chill advisory means the combination of wind and very cold air will create low wind chills. This will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

Be sure to have protection for pets and livestock.

Warmer temperatures are forecasted for mid week through the weekend.
