Ariana Grande Talks Second ‘Dangerous Woman’ Video, MTV Movie Awards
"I’m very excited to be performing a different rendition of ‘Dangerous Woman’ with one of my favorite Broadway composers on the planet, Jason Robert Brown,” Grande said, hinting at a more theatrical version of the single. "It’s more character-y and I’m excited to just have fun, play dress-up, and do a different version of it.... I think it's exciting to change it up."
Sharing that the "ridiculously talented" director gave her her first job in 13: The Musical, Grande added that working again with Brown is an important moment for her, and will add an "exciting flavor" to the song. "This is a really special thing for me. It means a lot."
In addition to talking about the forthcoming awards show performance and dodging questions about what she'll wear on the red carpet, the singer also dished on the "Dangerous Woman" music video, teasing that a second, "weirder" version is coming soon.
"There’s one more coming. I’m excited about it," the pop artist gushed. "This one’s more cinematic and weird and tells a story. It’s very different from the first one. I wanted to do a sexy, simple, more glamorous video, which was the [first] visual one. And then the second one is very different."
When asked if the video would be reflective of her upcoming MTV Movie Awards performance, Grande laughed. "Definitely no. No! [That's] a whole 'nother world. This video is so weird, but I'm excited for people to see it..."
While there's no date yet confirmed for the release of the artist's "weird" video for "Dangerous Woman," you can tune in to watch her performance of the hit single on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST.
