There are so many things to love about Fall, though I do have to admit, there's one thing I absolutely can't stand.

Spiders

I've noticed them everywhere: on my car, window sills, and door frames. Not a fan. The dropping temperatures have these creepy critters looking for warmer places to spin their webs. The one place we don't want them to do this is in our homes.

Saline Solution

You might've never heard of this, but saline solution can be a big spider deterrent. The great thing about this method is that you're not using harmful/dangerous chemicals.

According to Purcorpest.com, spider hate salt. Miz 1/8 cup of salt with a gallon of warm water. Pour it into a squirt bottle, and you have a natural spider-killing solution.

Essential Oils

The source also says that spiders hate peppermint, cinnamon, lavender, tea tree and eucalyptus. If you mix a few drops of one of these oils into some water, all you have to do is go around and spray your door frames and window sills to keep these pesky creatures out and away.

Walnuts

Walnuts contain a chemical that is toxic to spiders. Put them in the corner of your window sills and doors to keep spiders away from your home.

Baking Soda

According to United Pest Solutions, spiders are not big fans of baking soda. Sprinkle it in entryways and doorways.
