7 Apps Parents Should Know About List Includes KiK, Omegle

Most apps are harmless fun, like "Flappy Bird" or "Scramble With Friends." However, there are other apps that boast features which could comprise the safety of young kids. Parents, take note!

The below list of apps comes from Kristin Peaks, the Senior Digital & Social Media specialist at Cook Children's. She not only believes the apps are dangerous, but also advises parents to check their children's phones daily and check out their apps, text and pictures.

"They may feel that you’re invading their privacy, but let’s be honest… You’re paying the phone bill, so you can do whatever you want," writes Peaks.
