Optimist Club Easter Egg Hunt 2024

Every year, for seven years now, the Optimist Club has put on an Easter egg hunt for the community.

There are always thousands of eggs for your kids to hunt. -- 12,000 this year, to be exact.

You can also expect there to be games, music, and fun photo opportunities. Both kids and parents have fun at the event.

This year, the hunt is set for Sunday, March 24th at 1:30 pm.

Last year, we had concerns that we might not be able to have the hunt, due to the weather/snow.

Luckily, it wasn't cancelled; it did, however, move to a new location (Bismarck Event Center parking lot).

This year, with the weather being more favorable, I think there aren't any concerns about a cancellation or talks of using any other location than the Capitol Grounds.

What You Need To Know

There will be three separate egg hunts spread out in the afternoon for three different age groups.

The Optimist Club is asking people to arrive 30 minutes prior to your hunt for registration. Easter bags will be provided.

NEW IN 2024

The club announced they will have something new this year; they will have one grand prize winner for each egg hunt division.

According to the Optimist Club's Facebook page, you need to be sure to check your eggs before leaving to see if you are a winner of the grand prize or one of the other prizes they are giving away.

Times and groups are as follows:
1:30 pm - Ages 3 and under
2:00 pm - Ages 4-6

The club is also still looking for volunteers. If you would like to help out and stuff eggs, sign up on their website.
