A PAR-fect Saturday In Bismarck

Normally a windy day can be a real drag when you are playing golf, yesterday, however, 65 teams had no problem with it...

that's because all the players involved drew back their putter indoors ( a few holes WERE outside ) - yes another successful round of the greatest tradition around - 2023 Bar Golf. An enormous thank you to Jay from Jerome Distributing, Coors Lite, Miller Lite, Crossroads Tavern, and all the bars the teams visited. If this is the first time you have heard of this great event, let me tell you a few things about it.

Designated drivers, team names that absolutely cannot be mentioned on the radio, and comradery

Our field of 65 teams consisted of 5 players ( one who MUST be the designated driver ), everyone assembled at around 10:30 yesterday morning at different bars ( shotgun start if you will ) :

Here is where the fun started - every bar had 2 unique miniature golf holes for the teams to try and get a hole-in-one in. As usual, there were a TON of smiles among all the golfers. Once the teams finished their 10-bar tour, we all got together at Crossroads Tavern for plenty of post-putt-putt talk, bragging, and celebrating a few birthdays here and there. What a terrific job Crossroads did by providing everyone with a delicious barbeque dinner - All the unbelievable prizes were provided by Jerome Distributing - The first place team EACH scored a beautiful golf bag ( which made me extremely jealous ) - By the way, Lonesome Dove was voted as the favorite bar on the course. Thank you to EVERYONE who made it yesterday, and we will see you next year for our 20th Bar Golf.
