In news that'll make you shout "Ahhh-AH-Ah-ah-ahhhhh-Ahhhhh-ahhhhh" like a down-and-out songwriter finally being offered a stage thanks to the whim of a grizzled country star, it seems that the soundtrack for A Star Is Born is (deservedly) on its way to the top spot on the Billboard charts.

Hits Double Daily reports that the soundtrack is set to debut at No. 1, following the movie's massive $40 million opening weekend at the box office.

Billboard confirms the projection, writing that the album featuring original songs by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper is likely headed to the top spot on their Billboard 200 Chart next week.

The publication writes that the record, released October 5 via Interscope Records, could "launch with perhaps 200,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 11, according to industry forecasters."

Movie soundtracks are having quite the year in terms of chart performance: If A Star Is Born takes the top spot, it would become the third soundtrack to do so in 2018, following the Black Panther album and the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman.

In addition, excitement over the soundtrack, which includes sweeping lead single "Shallow," has already resulted in early Grammy buzz. (The soundtrack for the 1976 film starring Barbra Streisand netted three Grammy wins among five nominations.)
