Are Ammo Vending Machines Making Their Way To North Dakota?
It is no secret that North Dakotans love their guns. Whether it be for hunting or protection, either way, if you have a gun, you're going to need ammo.
What if I told you instead of going to a store and waiting in line, you could get your ammunition from a vending machine?
There is a company called American Rounds that is working on giving us just that.
How Does It Work?
The company claims the machines are as quick and as easy to use as an ATM.
The machines use ID scanners to verify that you are of age to buy the ammo, and also have facial recognition scans.
Once your identification has been verified, you can then make your selection.
FYI: In North Dakota you have to be 18+ to buy ammo.
Are They Coming To North Dakota?
According to WABI, the company currently has vending machines in Oklahoma and Alabama, but they have more than 200 store requests across 9 other states.
The company plans to expand and install these in grocery stores and retail locations nationwide.
We have yet to hear that the company has specific plans to roll these out in North Dakota, but I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing them pop up in the near future.
Keep your eyes open!
