As host of the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Amy Schumer opened up the show with a prerecorded spoof of 2014's most popular movies. She managed to cover Oscar nominees such as Boyhood and Whiplash as well as all the young adult novel adaptations that made it to the screen last year like The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars.

She then ascended to the awards show stage via that Hunger Games capsule that brings the tributes to that year's death arena. Wearing a short black dress with a gold stripe embellishment down the middle and black stilettos, Amy arrived onstage during the middle of a dance number. She was then handed a bow and arrow, which she attempted (and failed) to shoot into the crowd. The camera then panned to an impaled Jimmy Kimmel, which is super funny because we never actually saw Amy successfully shoot the arrow.

From there, Amy launched into her monologue, saying, "Half of you don't know who I am and half of you think I'm Meghan Trainor."

Other jokes include: MTV doesn't play music anymore ("I don't want the winners to worry about your speeches going on too long, because MTV is the one network that refuses to play music"), MTV's audience has terrible opinions about things ("The best movies are nominated and voted on by the same people who keep Catfish and Teen Mom on the air") and a Kevin-Hart-is-short joke ("How are you the same height as your kids?").

But our favorite joke from Schumer's set was probably this one: "Hilary Clinton finally announced she's taking Zayn's spot in One Direction."
