It seems as though these types of incidents are becoming so common, the news of another salt water spill almost surprises no one.

State Department of Health officials late this evening (4/1) say a pipeline leaked over 20,000 gallons of saltwater in the Northwestern portion of the state.

The department says it has effected a wetland area close by.

The owner of the pipeline Oasis Petroleum LLC leaked about 500 barrels of brine about 11 miles north-northwest of Powers lake.

The health department reports that some of the saltwater has been recovered.

The effects on the local wetland is unclear at press-time.
