Deer hunters will need to move fast to apply for a license for 2018's gun season in North Dakota as the deadline is approaching this week.

According to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, the upcoming deadline is this Wednesday, June 6th. The Game and Fish Department has approved a total of 55,150 licenses so far for the 2018 season. That amount is a 1 percent increase from last year. It's the third straight year there's been an increase.

This year's deadline applies to muzzleloader, regular gun, landowner, and youth applications.

Applications will be accepted online at the Game and Fish Department's website, or by calling (800) 406-6409.
