Steve was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He started his broadcasting career at the age of 12 and attended the University of North Dakota. Over his 34-year broadcasting career, he had the opportunity to work in major markets, but has always returned home to North Dakota. For those of you who don't know me, I love my dogs, pheasant hunting and horsing in lunker walleyes. I breed and show my Gordon Setters. When I'm not hunting, fishing or enjoying Breakfast With Bakken with you, my wife and I will be catching a Viking, Bronco or Twins game.
