Remember When Dave Portnoy Reviewed This North Dakota Pizza Place?

I think it's safe to say almost every North Dakotan has heard of Barstool Sports. If not, that's crazy, but I'll explain. Barstool is a sports and pop culture media brand, that hosts online vlogs and podcasts. It was founded by David Portnoy back in 2003.

One of our favorite things to watch from Barstool and Portnoy are his pizza reviews. He travels all over the country for his "One Bite" series. Portnoy adds a little humor to his reviews, but there's been a time or two where he didn't hold back, he was brutally honest.

I was curious: how many pizza places has he reviewed in North Dakota? As it turns out, he's only reviewed one spot in our state.

Rhombus Guy Guy Gets Ranked

Portnoy didn't actually come out to Grand Forks or Fargo to try the pizza, the restaurant actually sent it to him.

The Grand Forks pizza establishment wanted "El Pres" to give their pizza a try even if he couldn't make it all the way out to North Dakota, so they froze one and sent it out.

In May of 2020, Portnoy posted a video, telling us exactly what he thought of it.

In the video he talks about what he pictures when he thinks of North Dakota. He said he thinks of cows, cold, and Fargo, which, unfortunately, he went on to say he thought Fargo was in South Dakota. Oops. That's ok Dave, we won't hold that against you.

So, what did he think of the Rhombus Guys custom-made pizza? He said it was "pretty good" several times, and gave it a score of a 6.8. How awesome is that?
