Big Lots Closing Hundreds Of Stores, Will North Dakota Be Affected?

According to ConsumerAffairs.com, Big Lots! announced in June that they would close 40 stores nationwide due to financial struggles. Now, that number has increased to 289, according to MassLive.com.
The company filed a report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission; it outlines their worsening financial situation.
According to other reports, the company has lost $114.5 million from 2023 to 2024.
If you visit the website for an individual location, you may notice a banner at the top of the page that says, "Closing this location." They are offering 20 percent discounts at closing stores.

According to the source, based on the Bismarck location's website, it does not seem to be closing at this time.
Texas, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Nebraska, New Mexico, Mississippi, Iowa, and Idaho will also not lose any stores in this round of cuts.
