Bismarck-Mandan: Stores & Restaurants Open On Xmas

While many of us don't plan on getting out too much on the Christmas holiday, some of us in Bismarck-Mandan might have a last-minute emergency and need to hit up a local restaurant or store.

As we get closer to the Christmas holiday, I thought it might be a good idea to put together a list of the different places that we know for sure will be open on Christmas day in 2025.

Keep in mind this is always subject to change.

Bismarck-Mandan Holiday Hours

1. CVS

First, I have to say, someone told me what CVS stood for the other day, and I was shooketh. I never thought about it. It stands for "Consumer Value Store." -- Fun fact for you.

According to Goodhouskeeping, these chain stores typically remain open on Christmas and Christmas Eve. That said, I haven't been able to get in touch with Bismarck stores to confirm.

2. Starbucks

The world runs on coffee. If you find yourself in a coffee-less situation on Christmas Eve, you will be relieved to hear that most of the chain's locations stay open on all holidays. I called the Century Ave. location in Bismarck and was told they will be open 5 am to 1:30 pm on Christmas Eve, but closed on Christmas Day.

Bennigan's

The manager at Bennigan's told me that the Mandan restaurant will be open until 2 pm on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas Day.

Walmart

Walmart stores in Bismarck-Mandan will be open until 6 pm on Christmas Eve, but are closed all day on Christmas.

Captain Jacks

Of course Captain Jacks is closed on Christmas Day, but they will be open until 5 pm on Christmas Eve.

Buffalo Wild Wings

If you feel like 'winging' it this holiday season, keep in mind that Bismarck restaurants will be open until 8pm on Christmas Eve. They will be closed all day on Christmas.

4. Applebee's

If you don't feel like cooking on Christmas Eve; in Bismarck, they're open until 6 pm. Closed on Christmas Day.

5. McDonald's

McDonald's is a rain, sleet, snow, apocalypse kind of place. When civilization crumbles, McDonald's will still stand. That said, I called a local restaurant and found that they will be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve, but closed on Christmas Day.

6. Denny's

I called the Bismarck Denny's and it looks like they will be open until 2pm on Christmas Eve then close all day Christmas Day.

7. Burger King

Here's another trusty fast food chain that is known to stay operational. I called the local 3rd Street restaurant, and they told me they will be open until 6pm on Christmas Eve.  day.

Perkins

The Bismarck Expressway Perkins Restaurant is going to be open on Christmas Eve until 10 pm and will be open 8am to 4pm on Christmas Day. This, according to employees at the local business.

Kobe's

I spoke to Kobe's today, and was informed they will be open for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Hardee's

I reached out to Bismarck's E. Capitol location and was told they plan to stay open until 6pm on Christmas Eve. They will be closed on Christmas Day.

Family Fare

I reached out to the Turnpike Ave. store in Bismarck; I was told the store will be open until about 7 pm on Christmas Eve, but closed on Christmas.

Papa Murphy's

The South Washington store informed me they would be open until about 10 am to 6 pm on Christmas Eve. They will, however be closed on Christmas.

China Star

Craving a little Chinese food? Bismarck's China Star is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
