Vision Zero ND Offering Lyft Discount For McQuade’s Weekend

This weekend, Bismarck-Mandan will be packed with people for McQuade's weekend. Softball players will flood the area from far and wide to compete for a good cause. If you don't know, the McQuades Softball Tournament is the largest non-profit single-weekend, slow-pitched softball tournament in the country. Teams travel from all over the United States and Canada to compete. The proceeds go to over 80 different local organizations.

The kickoff event is being held this Thursday at the historic downtown Bismarck Depot, featuring a free concert. The actual tournament takes place this Friday through Sunday.

ND Sober Ride and Vision Zero are back at it again, issuing Lyft vouchers. According to KX News, people needing rides can claim online discounts for $10 off rides with Lyft throughout the weekend. So, if you do not have a designated driver, you still have the option to get a safe ride home without spending a ton of money. All you have to do to get the voucher is enter the code VZMCQUADES26 in the Lyft app to receive your discount.

Choosing to drink and drive is risky in big ways. If caught driving under the influence, you could see jail time and hefty fines. If you are not caught and fined, there is still the risk of getting into a car wreck and injuring or killing people. And the police will do what they can to prevent such devastation. I'd be willing to bet that the North Dakota Highway Patrol will be stepping up its efforts to keep the roads safe this weekend, so be safe and smart, and enjoy the festivities.
