It's always sad to hear that we're losing another storefront in downtown Bismarck. We all want the downtown area to be buzzing with people and full of local shops. Sadly, over the years, we've seen several stores disappear.
The Hiccups store located at 303 Main Ave in Bismarck posted to Facebook that they would be closing the storefront permanently.
The decision has been made, and Hiccups will be liquidating our inventory and closing the storefront this summer.
The post went on to say that this will be happening rather quickly, and that the liquidation hours will vary every week leading up to the closure.
The owners also said they would be offering pretty amazing discounts.
As of today all inventory is 50% off in-store!! Online orders will have an automatic 40% off applied at discount.
We didn't find out why the owners made this difficult decision, but they did post a message for their loyal customers.
This news comes after lots of thoughtful consideration, because if you know me - you know I love being downtown and Hiccups has really been a labor of love. We know many of our lovely customers will miss our fun little colorful store, and we will miss you too! But we are going out with a bang.
If you've been avoiding the downtown Bismarck area lately because of the awful road construction, I understand, but remember these business need our support. If you get some free time this weekend, and don't mind a little walk because where do you even park, show some of the local shops and restaurants some love.
