No matter where you're from, whether you have one in your town or not, you've heard of Hooters.

The restaurant is known for its "World-famous" chicken wings, a surfer, beachy vibe, and, of course, the Hooters girls.

Hooters In Bismarck

I learned yesterday that Bismarck, North Dakota, once had a Hooters. --I had no idea.

While many might find this restaurant a bit tacky, I've visited several Hooters, and the wings are delicious. You also can't be mad at the gals for doing a good hustle.

According to BismarckCafe.com, Hooters opened its doors in Bismarck back in 2008. It stayed in business for only six years before it closed permanently in October 2014.

According to the source, the wing spot was once located at 3130 N 14th St.

Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews now occupies that space.

While some have tried to bring this restaurant back to Bismarck over the years, all attempts have failed.

How to Bring It Back

If you want to see a Hooters return to the Bismarck-Mandan area, you better get ready to fork over some serious cash. $75,000, to be exact. Yep, according to HootersFranchise.com, that's the JUST initial franchise fee.

If we're looking at the total investment to open Hooters in Bismarck and get it fully running, the cost ranges from 1.2 - 2.8 million dollars. And that's if it's a conversion; new construction restaurants will cost quite a bit more—as much as $4.1 million.
