Luminary Walk & Pumpkin Carving Contest

When: Saturday, October 7th at 7pm

Where: General Sibley Park

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is an evening walk through the park with cider and snacks. It is pet friendly, and you are encouraged to bring flashlights.

 

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - Dakota Stage Ltd. 

When: Thursday, October 12th

Where: 412 E Main Ave, Bismarck

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is your chance to watch a dark and thrilling musical all while supporting local theater.

 

Mandan Zombie Crawl

When: Saturday, October 14th, 5 pm

Where: Downtown Mandan

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is your chance to dress up as a zombie and hit the town. there will be drink specials, a scavenger hunt, prize drawings, a meat raffle, and more. You can even get your makeup done before the event for $10.

 

Trivia: Serial Killers!

When: Thursday, October 19th, 7 pm

Where: CraftCade

Details: According to the Facebook event page, there will be 3 rounds and prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Teams of up to 4 allowed.

 

Jack & Sally - Art From The Heart

When: Friday, October 20th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Where: Art From The Heart

Details: According to the Facebook event page, it is $25 per painter for this adult painting session.

 

Little Kids, Big World: Pumpkin Fun

When: Saturday, October 21st, 10 - 10:30 am

Where: North Dakota Heritage Center

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is a free interactive learning series for toddlers and preschoolers. They will learn about pumpkins and decorate and take one home. These are 30-minute programs that teach kids about North Dakota's history.

 

Trunk or Treat 2023 -- McCabe United Methodist Church

When: Wednesday October 25th, 5:30 - 6:30 pm

Where:  McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this will take place in the west parking lot. There will be candy, contests, costumes and decorations for kids to enjoy.

 

First Responder Trunk or Treat

When: Thursday, October 26th 5 - 7 pm

Where: North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this event is being hosted by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. First responders from all across North Dakota will be handing out candy.

 

Trunk or Treat Party - Enrichment Center

When: Friday, October 27th, 6:30 - 9:30 pm

Where: Enrichment Garden Therapy Center & Granny Annie's Childcare

Details: According to the Facebook event page, there will be treats, prizes and hot cocoa.

 

Horror on Harmon

When: Friday, October 27th, 7 - 11 pm & Saturday, October 28th 7 - 11 pm

Where: United Tribes

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is the longest running haunt in North Dakota; it is on its 22nd year. Bring your friends to this haunted house for a good scare this Halloween.

 

Tunnel of Terror

When: October 27th & 28th, 7 - 10:30 pm

Where: 3345 35th Ave, Mandan

West of Mandan to exit 140. Go north 4 miles - take left on 34th street- travel 2 miles to 35th Ave - go north 1/2 mile.

Details: According to the Facebook event page, tis is a kid friendly haunt. It is an 80-foot tunnel, filled with Halloween decorations and a scavenger hunt. Free will donations will be accepted and go to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

 

Zoo Boo

When: Saturday, October 28th 1 pm - 4 pm

Where: Dakota Zoo, Bismarck

Details: Trick or treat while seeing your favorite zoo critters. Admission is $5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Halloween Town at Buckstop Junction

When: October 28th 11 am - October 29th at 6pm

Where: Buckstop Junction

Details: According to the Facebook event page, organizers will be turning Buckstop Junction into an 1800's Halloween village. There will be a Halloween parade, games, contests, hayrides, food trucks, tarot card readings, palm readings, face painting and more!

 

Family Halloween Event - Art From the Heart

When: Saturday, October 28th, 1 - 3 pm

Where: Art From the Heart

Details: According to the Facebook event page, there will be scary photo ops, a haunted house, treats and Halloween-themed art stations. Costumes welcome. $5 per participant.

 

Halloween Party with All Aces - Stage Stop Saloon & Grill

When: Saturday, October 28th 9 pm - 1 am

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is your chance to dress up in costume, listen to live music all while having a few drinks with some friends.

 

Trunk or Treat - Mandan United Methodist Church

When: Sunday, October 29th 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Where: Mandan United Methodist Church

Details: According to the Facebook event page, there will be a truck or treat in the South parking lot. There will also be hot dogs, carnival games, and a photo booth inside.

 

Halloween Story & Treat

When: Sunday, October 29th 2 - 4:30 pm

Where: Former Governor's Mansion State Historic Site

Details: According to the Facebook event page, story time starts a 2 pm , and will repeat at 2:30. All ages are invited to join.

 

Mandan PD, Morton County SO Trunk or Treat

When: Tuesday October 31st 4 pm - 6:30 pm

Where: 205 1st Ave. NW, Mandan

Details: This is the 5th annual Trunk or Treat at the Morton/Mandan Law Enforcement Center. According to the Facebook event page, this will be area first responders and local agencies there to hand out treats to those out trick or treating.

 

Haunted Fort

When: October 6th -- Kickoff date

Where: Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park

Details: According to the Facebook event page, this is a large haunted house that spans across the different historic buildings at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The haunt is open every weekend of the month of October.
