Bismarck Ranked in Top Ten for Budget-Friendly Vacation Spots
You may not think of Bismarck as a top spot for family vacations, but if you're looking to take the family on a trip and get the most out of a tight budget, our city is one of the top spots for that in the entire nation.
According to Money Magazine, Bismarck is one of the top cities in the nation to travel to for affordable entertainment at all ages. We showed up at #9 on the list of 'Best Family Vacation Bargains in America.'
With an average hotel cost of $96 per night, average airfare at $371, and a five-day cost for a family of four set at $3,524, Bismarck is featured on the publication's list just ahead of Kansas City, KS (not Kansas City, MO).
Some of the spots featured on the list to take the family are Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, the Superslide Amusement Park, and the Dakota Zoo. All are relatively affordable attractions to take the entire family at a reasonable price. We all know there's plenty more to do in the Bismarck region, but for the sake of cost-effectiveness, we'll go with what the publication listed.
The top spot on the list of best family vacation bargains went to Oklahoma City, OK, while Orlando, FL, and Albuquerque, NM followed to round out the top three.
There you have it, now your in-laws have no excuse for never coming to visit you right here in Bismarck.
