Through January 2, Bismarck received a lot of snow. Enough snow to set a new record.

According to a meteorologist who spoke with the Bismarck Tribune, Bismarck received 53.1 inches this season through Monday. That is the highest snowfall total in history.

The previous record was 49.3 inches, which was the total mount of snow received through January 2 in 1993-1994.

It's probably not a record too many people are happy about but it is a record nonetheless. And you survived it. So congratulations.
