Camila Cabello Through the Years: From ‘X Factor’ to ‘Bad Things’
Camila Cabello Through the Years
Camila Cabello was only 15 years old when she auditioned for The X Factor in 2012.
During Season 2 of the hit singing competition, Cabello, along with Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei, formed Fifth Harmony, and the group went on to place third.
After signing a joint deal with Simon Cowell's Syco Music and Epic Records, the group released their debut EP, Better Together, in 2013, following it up with two hit records: 2015's Reflection and 2016's 7/27.
However, Cabello continued to release her own music outside of Fifth Harmony. In 2015, she released "I Know What You Did Last Summer," her duet with Shawn Mendes, and the following year she dropped a collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly called "Bad Things."
On December 18, 2016, Cabello literally became "Miss Movin' On" when the group announced her departure so she could pursue a solo career.
