Carson Wentz Rushes For Touchdown in First Home Loss
The Philadelphia Eagles heading into their Monday night game against the Packers were undefeated at home. That is no longer the case.
The Eagles, who have won just two games after starting the season at a perfect 3-0, were in a good position to get a victory against a struggling Packers team who had previously lost four in a row.
The Packers got off to a quick start with Aaron Rodgers leading his team to a touchdown drive on their first two possessions.
Carson Wentz was able to get Philadelphia on the board with a one yard touchdown run but the Eagles couldn't do much more after that as they did not find the end zone again the rest of the game. The Eagles hit two field goals in what amounted to a 27-13 loss.
Wentz was 24 of 36 for 254 yards and a pick. He rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles go to 5-6 and are at the very bottom of the NFC East. The Packers also go to 5-6 with the win and are third in their division ahead of the 2-9 Bears.
The Eagles take on the 3-7 Bengals on the road next week. The Packers are home against the Texans.
