Many celebrities are using their platform to support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their protest against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Divergent star Shailene Woodley has been very open with her opinion on the Dakota Access Pipeline. She joined youth from the Standing Rock Reservation on a run from North Dakota to Washington, D.C. in hopes of preventing construction of the pipeline. Most recently, she was spotted at Bismarck's Capitol Grounds on Thursday, August 18th. She had some kind words for the officers who were on site during the protest.

Indian Country Today Media Network, Woodley joined Actress Rosario Dawson at Union Square in New York for another Dakota Access Pipeline protest. In addition, Dawson has filled her
social media sites with articles and videos to educate her followers on the pipeline and how it will affect those of the Standing Rock Reservation.

Most recently, Pharrell Williams showed his support and praised the youth of Standing Rock Sioux Tribe for their protest from North Dakota to Washington, D.C.

The number of celebrities using their platform to help the Standing Rock Reservation continues to grow. Leonardo DiCaprio has been a well-known Standing Rock supporter. Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa used Instagram to express his thoughts on the situation.

For now, construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline has been halted until after a federal court hearing on Wednesday, August 24th.
