Christina Aguilera is praising Lady Gaga for speaking out against R. Kelly.

Over the week, Gaga has faced criticism for collaborating with the R. Kelly following the release of the docu-series Surviving R. Kelly, which features interviews with women who have accused him of sexual assault and misconduct.

Now, Aguilera—who famously performed and released a remix of "Do What U Want"—has weighed in. The pop star has shared her thoughts following Gaga's decision to pull the R. Kelly version of the track from all streaming services. She took to her Twitter account to commend the "Bad Romance" singer for doing the right thing.

"This is a reminder of women sticking together— and not letting a man take ownership of a great song/ moment," Aguilera wrote alongside photos of the duo's 2013 performance on The Voice. "And if anything the message of this song remains that although you may have had my body, you will never have my heart, my voice my life or my mind."

She followed that up with a second tweet, writing, "Being a survivor of past predators myself, these lines spoke to me, which is why I did the song. I embrace all survivors of sexual and domestic violence and abuse holding a special place in my heart, and you @ladygaga, for doing the right thing!"

Those are some powerful words. We also love nothing more than seeing women supporting other women.
