Dairy Queen to Celebrate 75th Anniversary with New Items Including a Hot a’la mode Desserts
It's been 75 years for DQ and the restaurant has become more of a year round place to eat instead of a summer only destination.
June 22nd marks the 75th year for the Minnesota based company. DQ will mark its anniversary with the new addition of a few items including a Hot chocolate a'la mode dessert, featuring a hot brownie with ice cream, whipped cream and chunks of chocolate. Another new item is the artisan-style sandwiches and snack melts. In total DQ will have three new sandwiches and three new wraps and the new hot desserts.
A spokesperson for the company said the new additions will be a game changer for the restaurant.
The first DQ opened in Joliet, Illinois, in 1940.
