How Expensive Is Dating In North Dakota?
Looking for love is full of ups and downs, no matter where you go or who you ask. Is this person I'm meeting up with a psycho? Will it be a boring date? Will they look like their profile picture? Will this person ask the most obnoxious questions? Will this person end up with a fork in their arm for trying to grab food off my plate?
There are many things that can ruin a date, but there's one thing that might prevent you from dating at all.
How Expensive is Dating in North Dakota?
Valentine's Day is coming up, so before you go out and get fancy, I thought it might be interesting to look and see just how much it might end up costing you.
A study was done by Yahoo Finance, looking at the average cost of dinner for two in each state, and North Dakota is actually one of the least expensive states for this.
The national average for a nice dinner, a bottle of wine, and two movie tickets is about $102.32. In places like New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, it's a much more absurd number ($230-297).
North Dakota's average cost a relatively nice date night in North Dakota is 38.27. To that I say, LIES. Unless you're eating fast food, grabbing Boones Farm, and watching the movie on Netflix, I don't see how that's possible. I won't argue that North Dakotans aren't paying as much as other states, but no way is that working out.
Fun tidbit: The source claims that in 2016 the average American spent $1,526 on dating.
