After much speculations, Drake has officially announced the release date for his anticipated album, Views from the 6.

On Saturday (April 9), Drizzy appeared on his Beats 1 radio show OVO Sound Radio to make his big announcement. The Toronto native revealed that his fourth studio effort will arrive on April 29. In addition, the album will be an Apple Music exclusive, according to Apple.

This past week, Drake released two official songs from the collection: the dancehall jam “One Dance” and “Pop Style,” which features both Jay Z and Kanye West.

There’s still no information regarding the musical direction Drake is taking with the project. In an interview with the New York Times, Drizzy’s longtime producer, Noah “40” Shebib, assured us that they are “pushing the boundaries” and using “untraditional sounds” on the project.

“It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us,” he said. “A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.”

We don't know whether or not Drake is going to drop more new music ahead of the release date. We just have to be patient for now.
