
What You Need To Know About The Optimist Club Egg Hunt 2026
This coming weekend, Sunday, March 29th, get ready for an egg-cellent time in Bismarck. For nine years, the Optimist Club will be holding its annual Easter egg hunt at the North Dakota Capitol Grounds.
We hunted down all of the info, so you know what to expect the day of the event. According to the egg hunt event page on Facebook, they will be scattering the capitol lawn with 12,000 eggs, and each one will be stuffed with candy and great prizes.
When to Hop Over
Hunt Times:
• 1:30 PM – Ages 3 & under
• 2:00 PM – Ages 4–6
• 2:30 PM – Ages 7–9
• 2:00 PM – Ages 4–6
• 2:30 PM – Ages 7–9
*The Optimist Club says you should arrive 30 minutes early, before your hunt.
If you do not have an Easter bag to collect your eggs, no worries, they will provide some. Look out for the Easter Bunny too, he will be hopping around so you can get your pictures taken with him.
The egg hunt is free and open to the public, so bring your family and get ready for a memorable moment this weekend.
