We hate to see restaurants close in Bismarck-Mandan, but it does happen from time to time.

Now it's time to say goodbye to another Bismarck restaurant, but don't get too sad about it just yet.

So Long

Bismarck's Dairy Queen is closing. This might come as a shock to you, but it really shouldn't. Every spring the little Dairy Queen that sits on the corner of Broadway and Washington opens for the season, and right around this time of year it closes down again.

A Fun Family Experience

Kids and families love to walk up to the restaurant, spend some time outside, and get their ice cream cones. It's one of those things you have to do at least once a year.

The last time I visited this restaurant I rode a Bird Scooter there; it got stuck on full speed, and I had to hop off of it. It proceeded to "Fly" into oncoming traffic. 'Twas not good.

I survived.

Barely.

Now it's time for this seasonal restaurant to close its doors, but don't worry, just like all the times before, it will return next spring.

Yes, the restaurant will only be closed for a short time.

When Is It Closing?

I called the restaurant today and spoke to the manager/owner. I was told that it closed for the season just yesterday. They are in the process of cleaning and storing things away now.

Do Not Fear, More Ice Cream Is Here!

Luckily, if you really need your ice cream fix, we have three other Dairy Queens you can visit --two in Bismarck and one in Mandan.
