Five Reasons Not To Miss The Downtown Bismarck Street Fair

I'd like to think that most people reading the headline will have many more reasons not to miss the Downtowner's Street Fair because it's entering its 49th year! I'm sure most of you have been there and most of you had a pleasant day there. It's not often that communities gather in a central location that's not a county fair. The Bismarck Downtowners continue to uphold that neighbor and neighbor feel with the annual Street Fair.

First off, more parking because maybe less people. Folks show up more for the 50th Anniversary! versus the 49th...so more parking for you.  This is not a "reason" to come- but here are all the parking ramp options and more. You'll find a spot.

HERE ARE THE TOP FIVE REASONS NOT TO MISS THE STREET FAIR!

 5) Well, there's FOOD ON A STICK!

Plenty of that.  I was missing Steak On A Stick and of course Turkey On A Stick.

Puppy like the turkey leg. (comes on it's own stick)

#4 You'll bump into people you ain't seen in a long time!

You can discuss why you haven't made greater efforts to reach out to one another after you stopped working together for whatever reason that may have been. Great talking to you again!

#3 There are over 180 craft and food booths.

Truly one of a kind crafts where usually the profits go directly to the creators. Which is cool.

#2 In addition to "crafts" there are "arts" too!

Find something personal for your family room or garage.  Maybe put it out in front of your yard as a personal statement.  Plenty of individual art to peruse.

#1 RUN THEM KIDS/GRANDKIDS OUT OF ENERGY!

Make them stand out in the street while you catch up with people you haven't seen in years. Plus feed them watermelon. While you eat a plate of these...
