The Weirdest Habits Inside This Bismarck Office
When you work with people for a long time, you start to notice certain things: what they like to eat and what they don't, if they're a morning person, whether or not they are tidy, or thrive in a little clutter. You learn about their bathroom habits even when you'd rather not. The point is, you learn a lot about each other.
Lately, I've been paying close attention to my coworkers' quirks, and I thought I'd share some of them with you for a good laugh. This comes from a place of both love and confusion.
Weird Things Spotted In This North Dakota Office
Bromo
I work with a guy named Bromo. There are several things he does that I question, but nothing has confused me more than his M&M eating habits. Every day, he buys a pack of Peanut M&Ms, and before he eats them, he pours the whole bag out onto his desk. He proceeds to separate them by color. He eats an M&M from each color pile, one at a time. I'm not sure what that's about.
Rick
I have another coworker named Rick. Aside from the fact that Rick doesn't like to eat food in front of other people, he also does a strange thing every morning. One day, when I arrived at work extra early, which rarely happens, I passed by his studio and looked down at the floor... There he was. What was he doing, you ask? Oh, push-ups. I tried to take a video, but I got caught. I asked him about it, and he told me he needs to do 100 every morning. I didn't question why he was doing them at work; I just gave it a "Fair enough" and went about my business.

Scott
I have one other coworker that I have to throw under the bus here, and it's not that he does anything weird, he just has something weird. One day, I couldn't help but notice that my coworker, Scott, had something strange hiding under his desk. I looked, and sure enough, it was a block of wood....just a plain slab of wood. I asked him about it and was told that it was lucky.
...See, the block of wood has been at the old Townsquare Media radio station since before he started working here, more than 20 years ago. He brought it to our new studios as a sort of memento.
I'm sure once my coworkers read this story, they will start plotting revenge and outing all of my strange behaviors to everyone in Bismarck-Mandan. Wish me luck with that, and tell me some of the strange things you've witnessed around your office! Send a message.
