Fox's Grease: Live! went off with nary a hitch last night (January 31). Okay, barely a hitch — there were some sound problems, a cast-driven golf cart nearly overturned at the end, and did Joe Jonas forget the words to the last song DNCE performed at the dance contest?— but overall, the show was an unequivocal success. The massive staging alone inspired wonder, with its ambitious sets and a cast that integrated audience members as extras, but the stars' uniformly stellar performances were the heart and soul of the production.

No one drew more praise than Vanessa Hudgens, who absolutely crushed the part of thorny, rebellious Rizzo just a day after her father Greg died of cancer. Hudgens tops our roundup of standout performances from last night — relive five of those magic changes moments below.

The must-watch: Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, "There Are Worse Things I Could Do"

Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit as Sandy and Danny, "You're the One That I Want"

Boyz II Men, "Beauty School Dropout"

Jordan Fisher as Doody, "Those Magic Changes"
Fisher, formerly of Disney's Liv and Maddie and their Teen Beach franchise, was the breakout of the evening, stealing hearts (even while being burdened by the character name "Doody").

Keke Palmer as Marty, "Freddy My Love"
