Bismarck-Mandan residents are talking about an interesting post made in the Bismarck Community Buzz Facebook group. A woman claiming to be a researcher for HBO posted that she is looking for stories from Bismarck residents about ongoing disputes or unique experiences with their neighbors.

She indicated that this would be for the second season of the popular HBO series, "Neighbors." She included a link in the post where people could sign up and submit their interesting tales. We thought we'd do a little digging to find out if this is legit and worth signing up for.

Here's exactly what the post said,

Hello Reno! I'm a researcher on a HBO documentary TV series about ongoing neighborhood stories and disputes. We are hoping to do a segment in Bismarck and are interested in talking with anyone with a unique relationship or ongoing dispute with their neighbor (noise, property lines, pets, parking, construction, etc.).If you or someone you know has an ongoing story to share please visit helloneighborstv.com to submit your story!

Is This A Real Casting Call?

We did find several sites and stories linking the woman to other television documentaries, and as far as we can tell, the link is an official casting call site that is, in fact, associated with the streaming platform/tv network. We've noticed other news outlets have reported that the TV show is actively looking for stories in other cities across the country: ctpublic.org.

Obviously, we'd encourage you to err on the side of caution and not submit your personal address or too many details right away.

HBO's 'Neighbors' Casting in Bismarck

Though it might be an odd approach to post the inquiry to a local Facebook group without any obvious credentials, it would be pretty cool to see Bismarck featured in the TV show. Do you have any crazy or interesting neighbor stories? Feel free to send those to us if you don't feel comfortable submitting to the website.
