Here’s How to Help Las Vegas Shooting Victims
In the aftermath of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, people are wondering what they can do to help the victims of the horrible events that happened in Las Vegas last night.
A great way to help right now is by giving blood. The most recent numbers from the tragic shootings at the time of this post were 59 dead and 527 injured. United Blood Services is currently taking appointments for donors in communities across the country.
In a statement from their website:
Our sister United Blood Services blood center in Las Vegas provided blood and blood products to area hospitals treating victims of the Oct. 1 concert shooting. United Blood Services continues to assess and stands ready to support hospitals with ongoing blood product needs. At this time, the Las Vegas operations of United Blood Services have been able to provide the lifesaving blood needed by hospitals treating victims...We understand that people want to come forward now to show their support, however, to effectively manage the blood supply for patients, we are asking donors to make appointments to give blood throughout the coming days and weeks.
There are three donor centers in North Dakota; Bismarck, Fargo, and Minot. The Bismarck Donor Center is at 517 South 7th Street. The phone number is 877-827-4376.
