Do you have a foot fetish?

A lot of people do.  Not me, to be honest feet absolutely disgust me.  Most people have plenty of fungi associated with their feet and walking around barefoot certainly doesn't help that.

Let's be honest, most people don't vacuum and clean their vehicles as often as they should.  My hand is raised as I'm typing this article.  I'm guilty as charged, but one thing I don't do is drive in my less-than-sanitary truck with my bare feet.  Yep, that is kind of messed up.

Is it illegal to drive barefoot in North Dakota?

My father always warned me growing up that driving with your bare feet is against the law.  I had that ingrained in my head as a teenager.  That, and how I would go blind if I...Well, I will leave it at that.

As it turns out my dad was wrong.

On both counts (sinister laugh).  I decided to do some investigative reporting and looking through the North Dakota Century Code there is NOTHING about driving barefoot being illegal.  ZERO mention.  In fact, it appears there is not a single state that has outlawed this practice.

According to Jerry, driving barefoot in North Dakota is all good and completely legal.  No legislation has ever been introduced.  This is a myth that goes all the way back to 1994.

However, keep in mind if a law enforcement officer is having a really bad day, he or she could cite you for distracted driving, if driving barefoot impairs your ability to operate your vehicle.  I think you have a better chance of winning the lottery, than having that happen to you.

So, feel drive barefoot with your crusty, disgusting feet.  You are legal to do so.
