Is Josh Duhamel Only In ND All The Time Because He’s Getting Paid

I recently got a tip from a friend of mine that Josh Duhamel was in Grand Forks attending his niece's basketball game who plays for Minot High.  You can read all about that here.

It wasn't long after I posted that story the trolls were just lining up.

A few certain individuals thought it was necessary to point out that Josh Duhamel gets paid by North Dakota Tourism, and that's the only reason he shows up in the state from time to time.  More on the possibility of that in a moment.

Funny though,  for as long as I can remember the Hollywood actor has been popping up in unexpected places in North Dakota communities.  Way before he was ever getting paid.

I remember one time many years back I received a text from another friend of mine that Josh Duhamel and his wife at the time Fergie were at a dive bar in Casselton, North Dakota.  Duhamel was apparently visiting some friends of his that now live in the small community outside of Fargo, North Dakota.

I've seen numerous posts on social media and received texts at least a dozen other times over the last 10 years or so of Josh's whereabouts in the state.  There's no denying the actor creates quite the buzz when he comes back home.

That's right, Josh Duhamel in case you didn't know was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota.  He was a hockey and football player growing up in Minot and is a huge Minnesota Vikings fan.  He also attended Minot State University.

Yes, it's true Josh Duhamel is paid to promote tourism in North Dakota.

He is getting paid $75,000 dollars to be the face of North Dakota for the next two years (2023 and 2024), according to Fox Business.   However, did you know that is actually a pay cut from what he received recently?

Yep, he was paid $175,000 dollars in 2020 from the state.  He's been the face of North Dakota now since 2013 and Duhamel has made over a million dollars promoting the state of North Dakota.  In the grand scheme of things, this is chump change folks.

All of that money is walking around change at best and hardly worth the effort for most Hollywood types.  No, Josh Duhamel is in North Dakota all the time because he loves North Dakota, and is proud of where he came from.

To insinuate that Josh Duhamel is only showing up in North Dakota because he is getting paid is totally PREPOSTEROUS!

The man even married another North Dakotan recently, Audra Duhamel who's a Fargo Davies graduate.  He has a lake cabin in the Detroit Lakes, Minnesota area.  He makes a point to visit relatives and friends in the state all the time.

Yeah, I know.  Haters gonna hate.

Verdict?  Josh Duhamel is in the state all the time because he wants to be here.

If you've ever met him before you would know how gracious he is to all of his fans. I've never heard a bad thing said about him by anybody who has ever spent any time with him.

Better learn to deal with it.  Josh Duhamel is going to be hangin' out in North Dakota for a long time to come.
