Have You Come Across Any Of These Friendly Creatures In BisMan?
These are random gifts from the heart spread out through Bismarck and Mandan
Relax, they won't bite. Their main function is to bring instant joy to whoever finds them. You can call Lexi Muehler the "Mother" of all these adorable stuffed creatures. Crocheting 4 Kindness - that's what she has been doing for over two years. She taught herself the gift of art, bringing to life a bright red octopus, or a playful dinosaur. You may have seen Lexi along the 4th of July parade route last year randomly handing these furry friends out to those with a HUGE smile waiting to explode.
Check out what she did recently...
"Hello everyone! I hid a bunch of crocheted animals at various park locations: Keelboat Park, Pioneer Park, Riverside Park, and Sibley Park. Feel free to post a picture on the Facebook group (Crocheting 4 Kindness) if you find one!"
Here is the thing that I admire about Lexi, she does this all on her own, not for profit or gain. This is a HOBBY for her - and as you can imagine each piece of art takes time - some can take around an hour and a half. Lexi Muehler is a young lady loaded with talent and an enormous heart. I had her come by our studios in November last year and was fortunate enough to write an article about her.
"I love making people happy..."
She's done that many times - donating her "Kids" to places that need some real love - her modesty is so charming - IF you find one of her treasures, they all come with a note:
"I'm Not Lost. I'm Just Alone. If I Made You Smile, Take Me Home! Feel Free To Post A Picture On The FB Group Crocheting 4 Kindness"
I asked Lexi why she does all of this - because HER creations make people feel good. Just like this comment on the Bismarck People Reporting News Group Facebook Page - "Last 4th of July you gave my son a little dinosaur at the parade
it’s still sitting on his dresser in his room!"
Thank you Lexi for bringing such joy to people in Bismarck and Mandan!
