No Word On If This Popular Bismarck Clothing Store Is Closing
For the last 5 years, writing stories about North Dakota has been part of my job
"Radio" is just a part of what our duties consist of here at Townsquare Media. For me, talking on the radio ( "On The Air" ) is what I have done since around 1990. When I moved here to Bismarck to take this job, I found out that we write 2 stories every weekday about people or events in North Dakota - I also found out I'm not a good writer.
One of the things I enjoy the most is writing about people and their lives
Some people might ask, "Well, where do you find your ideas about what you write about?" - My favorite stories are about people and their lives, or a new business that is just about ready to open up, then again the saddest part is writing about restaurants, or stores that are closing for good. Yesterday I wrote about Butterhorn210 closing their doors for good this month - a local place that has been around since 2017. It's sad but I know that life goes on.
Just recently a major clothing store announced its plans to close nearly 200 stores
This is obviously a Nationwide store, and we have one here in Bismarck, Torrid - inside the Kirkwood Mall. According to kfyrtv.com "A major clothing store announced plans to close nearly 200 stores in 2025, according to recent reports. Torrid, a plus-sized clothing store, revealed plans to close up to 180 “underperforming” stores on Thursday when it announced first quarter earning results"
Good news, I made a few calls, Torrid was open today, and no word whatsoever if they have any plans on closing ( THIS is what I love about writing as well, Good News! )
