Heavy Monday Tuesday Rainfall

It seemed like a monsoon of rainfall fell on the Capital Region at about 4 pm on Monday, July 7th. Although it poured, it didn't last that long in Bismarck-Mandan, keeping down the area rainfall totals to just over a half-inch for most.

One Exception in the North Dakota

The area just east of Wishek near the city of Lehr picked up an impressive 2.5 inches of rain. Parts of northeast South Dakota, near the city of Webster, logged an insane total of nearly 4 inches of rain from the thunderstorms that rolled through our area.

Another Shot at Storms

We have a slight chance for severe thunderstorms on Thursday evening, and that could be our last chance at precipitation for a while, as we are expected to head into the warmest weather of the summer so far. The extended forecast from Friday through Tuesday has high temperatures well into the 90s and over the century mark, possibly on Saturday through Monday.
