One small-town North Dakota hospital is being accused of the ultimate baby blunder. They are being accused of mixing up which baby belonged to which family. Full disclosure, I've never worked in a birthing section of a hospital before, but this seems like an unforgivable mistake. And, it might just cost this Grafton, North Dakota hospital, the UniTY Medical Center, a pile of cash.

DNA Revealed the Truth

The two men, on the left is Jeremy Morrison, and on the right is Kyle Bylin. According to the lawsuit, a DNA test revealed they were switched at birth back in 1988. That would put both of the men at the age of 38. Morrison and Bylin were the only babies born in the hospital that day, according to hospital records.

According to WDAY-TV, the two men lived about a county apart in North Dakota for 35 years. They discovered the mishap when Kyle Bylin took a DNA test in 2023 to find out more about his mother's German heritage, which ultimately revealed the truth. The two families are suing the hospital for negligence and emotional distress.
