Katy Perry Taking Break From Music, Considering College
Katy Perry might want to go back to college.
While appearing on the new cover of PAPER magazine, the "Roar" singer revealed she's taking a break from music and confirmed she's not going to release a new album any time soon. Instead, she's thinking of going back to college and said she's even checked out classes for mature students at Oxford.
"A lot of people go who have already had success in their careers at 45, and they're like, 'Well, what the f--k do I do now?' That was interesting because it would be very Harry Potter for me," she said in her interview, adding that although she still loves music, the touring aspect to her singing career really "tires [her] out."
Perry said if she does go back to school, she'd choose either Anthropology, Astronomy, Egyptology, or Comparative Religious Studies as a subject. "I like the history of things. I like storytelling. I like philosophical studies and mystical studies. I love knowing about sacred geometry and stuff like that," she explained.
As sad as were are to find out no new music is coming, we're happy to hear that Perry is following her dreams.
