Lady Gaga Delivers Rollicking ‘Shallow’ Grammys Performance Without Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper may not have been at the 2019 Grammy Awards, but that didn't stop Lady Gaga from delivering a wild performance of their joint hit, "Shallow," during the show.
The star took the stage alongside collaborator Mark Ronson and other band members to belt out the A Star is Born single. She sported a bedazzled cat suit and shaggy platinum blonde hair. Gaga danced and head banged throughout the performance.
Earlier in the night, the 32-year-old singer accepted several Grammy Awards for the song. Some were announced before the show, but Gaga was able to accept one award during the ceremony, delivering a tearful speech full of gratitude. In it, she gushed about Cooper, who was at the BAFTAs on Sunday.
"I wish Bradley was here with me right now. He's at the BAFTAs," she said through tears. "I'm so proud to be a part of a movie that addresses mental health issues. They're so important. And a lot of artists deal with that. And we gotta take care of each other."
"Shallow" was nominated for four Grammys total, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media. The entire A Star is Born soundtrack won't be eligible for a Grammy nomination until 2020.
